BONE RITE is an offline, Android-first twin-stick roguelite shooter. Guide an occult frog gunslinger through supernatural hordes, build a cursed arsenal, and bring your earnings back to the armory for the next run.

Build something unholy

• 30 weapons and 10 cursed evolutions: heavy revolvers, roaring shotguns, spectral guns and explosive occult hardware.
• Touch-native combat: independent movement and aim/fire sticks, with thumb-reachable dash, reload, swap and special abilities.
• Run-changing curses: stack tactical upgrades, combine ingredients into Elder Hexes, and keep growing with uncapped Eternal paths.
• Permanent progression: bank Bones, unlock equipment, grow weapon mastery and equip companions.
• Three destinations: the Crimson Graveyard, Hollow Cathedral and Sunken Ossuary, with bosses, optional trials and forbidden pacts.
• Reasons to return: unlock Endless, challenge dated Daily Rites, discover recipes and try another build.

New in v0.16.0: The Curseweaver's Kit

Each ordinary run grants three free banishes. Remove an unwanted ordinary curse from future offers while keeping ranks you already learned. Pin an Elder Hex recipe to highlight missing ingredients, then inspect your weapons, curses, pact and companion in Pause > Build & Curses.

How to play

Play in landscape. Drag the left stick to move and the right stick to aim and fire. Tap Dash to evade; reload automatically on empty or use the Reload button while moving. Collect violet souls, choose curses, defeat a guardian and return to the armory. Android Back pauses or returns from menus. The game works offline without accounts, ads or in-app purchases.

Android test build — please read before downloading

This is an early-access debug APK. Android 7.0/API 24 or later and OpenGL ES 3.0 are required; ARM64 and ARMv7 are included. Download BONE_RITE_0.16.0.apk on your phone, let the transfer finish, and open it with your file manager.

Known installation issue: an earlier build was rejected with “App not installed” on Pixel 10, and that issue remains unresolved. This build has passed desktop gameplay checks and APK signature/alignment checks, but successful installation, sustained performance and real touchscreen behavior have not been verified on a connected Android phone. Please treat this download as a development test build.

If installation fails, keep any existing BONE RITE installation to preserve saved progress. Report your phone model, Android version and exact installer message. Updating an installation signed with the same certificate normally preserves progress; uninstalling deletes app data.
